Winneba Semester at Sea

Here's a great example of what can happen from a Sister City relationship. The Semester at Sea program, based here at UVa, docked in Ghana a couple of weeks ago and a group of students and faculty (including our own Delegate David Toscano, who is teaching law courses on the ship this fall) traveled to Winneba to visit Charlottesville's newest Sister City. As you can see in the slideshow below, they were greeted with open arms and got a first-hand look at Winneba's judicial system.

The culture and traditions of this community made an impression on the students who were struck by how welcoming the people of Ghana are to outsiders.
