Power Shift

Over 11,000 young activists have converged in Washington, DC this weekend for the "Power Shift 2009" Conference (http://www.powershift09.org), described as "the largest gathering of citizens fighting for a clean energy future in United States history." I will be heading up to the conference later today, as I'm pleased to have been invited to represent Charlottesville for a panel discussion (along with the Mayors of Denver and Salt Lake City) on the role that cities are playing, and can play, in promoting energy conservation & efficiency and renewable energy. Even though we still have a lot of work to do to get where we need to be, it's great to see Charlottesville getting noticed for our efforts.
